Feeling a little off today? That’s because Dick Van Dyke just out-awesomed all of us. We all knew he was the coolest kind of cool before… I don’t even need to list why… but then he goes and does something like this?
Finish up for the day, folks. There is no more awesomeness to be made. And anyway, it’s Friday. Enjoy your weekend! ;)
hehe! Happy reading! http://www.guardian.co.uk/film/2010/nov/11/dick-van-dyke-porpoises-rescue

Another post with good timing. We've been watching tapes (yes, I still use them) of the Dick Van Dyke show. Always good to watch! Now for a question......Were the porpoises rescuing Dick Van Dyke, or using him for a toy? Somewhere in there has to be a Morey Amsterdam joke. Cheers!
I still use tapes, too. And I love The Dick Van Dyke Show. It's my second favorite show of all time, with I Love Lucy edging it out.
I suspect that the porpoises were probably doing a bit of both. The story reminded me of his role in Lt. Robinson Crusoe U.S.N. I thought it was poetic in a humorous kind of way!
Greetings Miss Tink'.........As you enjoy watching Dick Van Dyke, you may want to try & find this movie. Very appropriate for the upcoming holidays, "Fitzwilly". Done in the mid-late 60's, & it's almost 2 hours of craziness (& ingenuity!). If you are interested in it, & can't find it (I don't know if it's available, anywhere), let me know. I may be able to get you a copy.
Cheers!!
Ooohh, I LOVE "Fitzwilly"! It comes on TCM now and then. Really funny film! You're the first person I've ever heard of refer to it before, so that makes you awesome. Just so you know. ;)
Thank you for the comment. I can, now, count on three fingers, the people that have referred to me as awesome! Actually, when I look at your work, I am more like......humbled!!
Fitzwilly is on the top, favourite film list. I never get tired of it. I usually pull it out & watch it in June or July!
Cheers!!
Oh wow! Thank you so much!! That is really kind of you to say. :)
